2. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Group C recruitment cycle, candidates must fulfill three core criteria:

A. Core Educational Qualifications

  • Basic Requirement: Minimum of 10+2 (Class 12th pass) from a recognized educational board.
  • Language Mandate: Candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject up to Matriculation (Class 10).
  • Post-Specific Extras: Many specialized roles carry distinct professional technical requirements:
    • Junior Engineers: A 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in the respective engineering branch (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).
    • Medical Staff (Staff Nurse/MPHW): Relevant degree/diploma in Nursing or Pharmacy.
    • Draftsmen / Mechanics: Respective ITI certificates or specialized diplomas.

B. Age Limit & Relaxations

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years
  • Age Relaxation: SC, BC, and Unmarried Women/Widows receive upper age limit relaxations (typically 5 years, extending up to 47 years for specific vulnerable categories).

C. The Golden Rule: CET Score

Mandatory Prerequisite: Only candidates who have already appeared for and successfully qualified the Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) Phase I (Group C) are eligible to apply for these Mains vacancies.

3. The Selection Process

The commission utilizes a structured, multi-stage filtration process to fill the vacant vacancies.

1.CET Phase I Screening:Completed.

The foundational shortlisting stage. Candidates must score at least 50% (General category) or 40% (Reserved categories) to hold a valid CET Group C scorecard.

2.HSSC Group C Mains Written Exam:100 MCQs | 1 Hour 45 Mins.

Eligible candidates are called up to 10 times the number of vacant posts. This offline, OMR-based written exam features 100 post-specific and general aptitude questions. There is no negative marking.

3.Physical / Skill Tests:Post-Specific Only.

Candidates opting for physical roles (like Forest Guards or Constables) undergo a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Technical roles like Stenographers undergo specialized trade/skill tests.

4.Socio-Economic Criteria Weightage:State-Specific Verification.

Additional evaluation marks are accounted for based on state socio-economic criteria guidelines (e.g., family income brackets, no family member in government service, orphan status).

5.Document Verification & Medical Exam:Final Hurdles.

Original academic credentials, identity certificates, and Haryana domicile documents are systematically verified, followed by a routine fitness evaluation by an authorized medical board.
