According to him, Wike cannot claim a leadership role because he is no longer governor.
Ibrahim, however, said Wike will be given a seat in the APC if he decides to join.
Speaking during an interview on Trust TV on Wednesday, Ibrahim said, “He will be given a seat, there will be a place for him.
“It’s a choice for him to be under Fubara, if you follow, you will be followed but if you don’t follow, nobody is going to follow you.
“When he was the governor, he was followed; now that he is not the governor, he must follow. You can’t carry the position of leadership after vacating the seat.
“He can’t get what he wants all the time, there are times that if you go against the laid down regulations, you can’t get what you want.”
Meanwhile, Wike, has urged his supporters to observe the movement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmen, as well as other leaders loyal to him, to know his 2027 anointed candidate for the state’s governorship election in 2027.
Naija News reports that Wike spoke on Wednesday in Ahoada East Local Government Area, LGA of Rivers State, while addressing supporters of the APC and the PDP.
While appealing to his supporters to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, the Minister also urged them to watch out for his anointed candidate.
He said, “The other one, as it relates to the State, we will come back. Watch where your council chairman is going.
“Watch where the PDP and APC chairman are going, anywhere you see them, that is where we are.”
Recalls that Wike had vowed to ensure that his estranged political godson, Siminalayi Fubara, was not re-elected in 2027.
