Nissan Tekton SUV officially Reveled – Bold New Design, India Launch in 2026

Nissan Tekton SUV Revealed: Fresh Look and India Launch Set for 2026

Nissan just pulled the wraps off its new C-segment SUV for India, calling it the Tekton. They’ve shared some design teasers that show off the production model, which dealers have already seen. It’s lined up for a launch in the second quarter of 2026, and it looks like Nissan’s aiming to shake things up in the compact SUV space.

Design and exterior details

The Tekton has a solid, muscular build with a flat hood, straight-up lines, and a broad front end. Up front, there’s a full-width LED daytime running light strip that ties into the Nissan badge in the middle. It has split headlights with vertical LED units and a tough-looking bumper that screams SUV toughness.

On the sides, you’ll see flared wheel arches and a strong stance, with door handles tucked up on the pillars for a cleaner look. The profile includes a subtle mountain-inspired pattern on the doors, nodding to the Himalayas.

At the back, a connected LED tail light bar runs across, with squared-off lamps that echo recent Nissan styles. Add in a roof spoiler and big alloy wheels, and it gives off a sporty, upscale vibe.

Interior and features

Inside, the teasers show a clean, layered dash with soft ambient lights and a wide metal trim piece. Expect a big touchscreen for infotainment, a digital gauge cluster, wireless phone linking, cooled seats, a surround-view camera, driver assist tech, and nice fabrics or leather.

Platform and powertrain expectations

It’s built on the CMF-B platform, the same as the next Renault Duster. For India, look for petrol engines, including turbo options, and hybrids on pricier trims. They might add all-wheel drive for the top models, putting it head-to-head with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.

Launch and Outlook

This is a big move for Nissan in India, part of their plan to roll out more models over the next couple years. A seven-seater based on the Renault Bigster could follow. With its mix of modern Nissan style and practical features for Indian roads, the Tekton could help Nissan grab a bigger slice of the SUV market come mid-2026.
