- Pay Scale (7th CPC + NPA for medical faculty):
- Professor: Level 14-A (₹1,68,900 minimum)
- Additional Professor: Level 13-A2+ (₹1,48,200 minimum)
- Associate Professor: Level 13-A1+ (₹1,38,300 minimum)
- Assistant Professor: Level 12 (₹1,01,500 minimum; moves to Level 13 after 3 years)
- Age Limit (as on 23 March 2026):
- Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years
- Associate / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years Relaxations: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD (OH-OL/BL) 10 years, Govt servants as per rules.
- Essential Qualifications & Experience (Medical stream – MBBS + MD/MS/DM/MCh or equivalent; Non-Medical as per discipline): Varies by post (e.g., Professor requires 14 years post-PG teaching/research experience). 1-year relaxation for SC/ST in experience.
